This would include apprentice jockeys, jockeys, exercise riders, grooms, assistant trainers, foremen, trainers, breeding farm staff, racing officials, racing commissioners, track management, track maintenance and chaplains. NARA will become a source of qualified labor for the industry. NARA plans to include facilities such as a training track, indoor arena, fitness/exercise rooms, classrooms, dining areas, dormitory, administrative offices and meeting rooms. Additionally, NARA will provide continuing education as well as expert consultation to assist established jockeys. ![]() Open a larger version of this rendering in a new window.
"Owners, trainers and the betting public will benefit from NARA because jockeys will be better prepared for the tough competition that'
s out there. Racing will become more exciting with riders who are more knowledgeable and more talented."
